Volvo Ocean Race – Searching for Trade Winds

searching for trade winds

You just never know what the next day holds when it comes to the 2011-2012 Volvo Ocean Race. The boats competing in the race is now approximately within 45 miles of one another as they try to find the sought-after trade winds.

As of Sunday, PUMA Ocean Racing powered by BERG was 250 miles W of Chichi-jima Island, Japan as they navigate the Mar Mostro towards Auckland, New Zealand.

It’s looking better for the fleet, but as it’s all too familiar you just never know what the next day will hold in the Volvo Ocean Race!
